Japan is a disaster-prone country, and a huge earthquake along the Nankai Trough is expected to trigger a huge tsunami in the near future. In addition, the water depth along the Nankai Trough is very deep, and the tsunami is expected to arrive earlier than the 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake. Therefore, Arikawa lab is studying the forecasting by machine learning with the database accumulated in the lab in order to forecast instantly after an earthquake occurs.

By learning the input-output relationship in advance, we can make instantaneous forecasts. It is important to make accurate forecasts from a limited number of databases.
